I. Text analysis：
This lesson is from Part A of Unit7，Book Five, Primary English for China. This part focuses on words, including the following eight words: hot, cold, dry, wet, man, woman, umbrella and raincoat. 
The difficulties of this lesson: Students should master the way of expressing weather. 
Sentence patterns go like this: It’s … He/she is wearing… He/she has… Pupils making conversation about weather in their daily life will be the aim of teaching this unit. After learning this lesson, every pupil can make a weather report and then tell each other how to wear different clothes according to different weather.

II. Students analysis： 
1. As the pupils in Grade 3 lack of phonetic knowledge. Easier sound knowledge is needed. Some vowels and their sounds will be marked on the word cards. This will help pupils to read the words correctly, but also spell the words out easily.
